Resort urges guests to explore the countryside and one-of-a-kind activities

FONTANA, WI – June 1, 2009 – From mountain biking to scenic hiking; star gazing to equine trailblazing; exceptional fishing to hot air ballooning, The Abbey Resort & Spa is helping guests uncover and then discover the  many recreational opportunities that reside in the Lake Geneva, WI area, while taking advantage of unprecedented value offerings.

The Abbey’s adventure vacation specialists maintain extensive knowledge of the area and can assist visitors in identifying tourism opportunities and planning a personal itinerary.  Special summer adventure vacation packages have also been introduced offering guests significant savings on three, four and five-night stays.

The Abbey’s regular midweek summer season rates would normally start $219 per night, while the  adventure vacation package features a five-night rate of $139 per night; a four-night rate of $149 per night and a three-night rate of $169 per night.  Children 10 and under also receive complimentary breakfast and lunch.  (One free with each paid adult.) Couples who book a minimum three night stay on the Adventure Vacation will receive an additional value of $20 per night in-house credit, which can be used for any resort amenity or services. The summer adventure vacation package is valid through September 15. 

In an effort to help visitors get the most out of their summer vacation, The Abbey Resort & AVANI Spa is offering expert assistance and guidance to ensure that visitors are well aware and ready to explore the many one-of-a-kind attractions, recreational activities, sightseeing opportunities, nature areas and historic tours available during the summer season.

The Abbey offers a host of complimentary activities for children including lawn and board games, movies on the resort’s big screen, the latest video games including Nintendo’s Wii, bicycles to explore the rolling countryside and traditional bonfires complete with s’mores.  Child care services are also available for guests at a nominal fee.
